Saralyn was practicing in the small courtyard beside the Knight Mages Headquarters, used by the Mounted (Broom) Division. This was where they practiced technique and reactivity to being shot at with spells while on a broom. Sara had been a good Quidditch player at school, even though she hadn't been on the Ravenclaw team until her last year there. Now she hadn't had much practice for a while, and was fumbling around trying to get her old skill back.
"Drat," she muttered after a while. "I'll never get the hang of this, it hates me." Her broom jerked, as though it heard her thoughts, and she went spinning sideways, ending up upside down, hanging onto the broomstick with her legs wrapped over it, and cluthing at it with one hand. She glared at it, then plaintively said, "Well I didn't mean anything by it." She tugged hersul upright again, and went back to practicing. She made several more mistakes, but got better and better the more she worked. Now all she needed was some company, and she'd be set.

OOC: I know that this was here for a while, but Now I am a Kinght Mage so I can reply. I hope it is okay.
Finally. Susan had made it into the knight mages. It was a honor and even more it was the right thing. She still had not let anyone now about her power; she was still trying to get a hold on it. Once she did it would work out, she hoped that eventually the sun would shine again. Susan made her way to her small bed that they offered her, it was not to much to be impressed with but it had not only a pillow but also a blanket. It had been so long sine she had sleep in decent comfort.
The night could have been close, or maybe not as she took a long deserved rest placing her arrows near her bed, as she slept with the tip on one next to her, if she moved wrong she would inadvertently kill herself, but she did not sleep that well to worry about it, and it was better to be on your guard.
It was no more then two hours she awake with a surprise. One that she had slept for such a long period but she could hear voices, and they were not in her head. It had not been a strange dream, she was really here at the knight mages headquarters. What could she do now that she was here? How could she help. She head so many names she remembered from school, she wondered where they were? She was not really sure what to do, it was odd being in the safety of closed doors.
Susan sighed as she walked from her small quarters and into a hallway. She still wore her bow and arrows, perhaps she would for a time still, it was a sure sign she was new within the building, but then again everyone was on their guard these days. She found the exit, would she dare leave? There was no light to really be happy about walking outside but she made her way and opened the door. She noticed someone flying, practicing she could since. It was getting easier to tell the difference between thoughts, then again she was not surrounded by evil here.
Susan found a broom, she was never extremely talented on one but could function. She called up, looking strange with her bow still on her back, she was defiantly new at the head quarters, and by the look of it it had been a while since she was with people. Good people. “Hello there.” She offered the first exchange of words, it was strange.

A glint of gold entered the courtyard along with a slight buzzing of wings. As the small object zig-zagged around the two women, another sound came from above. It was almost like the sound of rushing wind, but the origins were unknown, as the cloudy sky blocked almost all sight.
Suddenly, as if punctured by a needle, a figure riding a broom came blasting through the low layer of clouds. It was a cloaked man with a dark, dirty face, and he was flying at full speed towards the ground. His eyes scanned the area as he caught sight of the golden object once more, and then, at about one hundred feet from the ground, the man lept from his broom in a freefall towards the ground.
As he fell, almost hopelessly, he straightened out and dove straight for the object, reching out his hand and catching it only about twenty feet later. Then, as the man flipped over, he pulled out his wand, and with an accent he shouted, "ACCIO BROOM!" The broom, which had stopped only about a foot above the ground now soomed towards the man with incredible speed, and reached him just in time for him to remount it and stop, hovering only inches above the ground.
As the man got off of the broom he turned. With a smile, the man removed his hood and revealed himself to be none other than the great Viktor Krum. He looked quite weathered, but still in good health. Opening his palm, he showed what was now recogniseable as a golden snitch.
After pocketing it, he scanned the area and saw the two women in the courtyard. Smirking, he finally spoke, "Ahh, Saralyn. Good to see you again." and after looking at the other girl, he added, "And you are? I dont think we have met." Walking over to her, he grabbed he had, kissing the top of it and slightly bowing.

Susan was trying to be as calm as she could be for it was only recent tat she had been around so many people, and people on the same side. She saw someone flying like a maniac and did not realize what the cause was until a few moments after he landed. She remembered the days that Quidditch was something fun to watch but now there were no more Quidditch matches to watch.
She was not as fragile as she may have looked, she recognized the man soon after he kissed her stiff hand. Victor Krum. She had seen him around during the tri-wizard tournament. She wanted to sigh remembering the thought that those days were hard. Now looking back she would love to have those days back.
“Susan Bones. I only just arrived.” Susan said hoping that she did not sound as cold as she held herself to be. It was something hard to create a wall around you to survive to bring it down would be more so. Susan made an attempt at a smile but it was a weak grin. The young girl looked far older in years having spent so much time on the outside of the walls.
