You know the basics.
No god-playing. That means you can't determine if your attack wounds, knocks someone out, or kills someone. You also can't tell someone what their emotional reaction is to something either. Thats not fair to the other player. Let the other player decide, please.
OOC Knowledge used IC. Not fair. Not cool. Don't do it. For example, uness you're a legillimens, you don't know what someone is thinking even if they type it out in a post. If its a thought, its their characters own personal thought. You also may not use info gained OOC for your IC benefit. Say a friend tells you of their plot OOC. Don't pull it IC. Its not your plot. Its theirs. Let them do it.
Language. Due to the adult themes of this site (post-apocalyptic end-of-the-world blah blah blah) Curse away, friends. That being said, should anyone have a problem with cursing in a thread, the only time you're allowed to complain is if its a thread you're part of and have been part of. You cant suddenly join a thread two people are swearing their brains out in just to grab a mod and complain. Its not fair. If you read a thread that offends you with language, don't read it.
Sex. It happens. Its natural. Should you and another player, erm, feel the need, PM an admin. We'll set up a private board for just the two of you so you can get your IC jollies, okay?
You can't kill someone without their permission. Don't even try it. If you get their permission, PM a few admins so we're all on the same page. Both of you.
RPing. Consider this writing a story with other people. Use proper grammar, sentence structure and spelling to the best of your ability. Please, also, put alot into your threads. Try to hold off on long rambling speech-posts and add more actions to it. People don't just stand there and jabber. They move, they think, they feel, they pause between sentences to..pick a piece of hair off their shirt or look at the ground or sky in contemplation.
Random Canon-character related family members. In a word, No. If they are not already a canon-family member, they're never going to just randomly be one. No offense. I don't want someone to suddenly have ten kids when they've either only had a few or none at all.
It's important to use proper grammar and spelling. If you completely butcher a post, it gets frustrating to try to read it. There's a SPELL CHECK button at the bottom of every post box, so if you aren't sure of a couple words, check it. It won't hurt.
