She sat in her office in the Auror headquarters, her head in her hands as she tried desperately not to sob. Most of her colleagues and comerads had falled at the hands of Death Eaters right before her eyes and Cecily, once fearless and willing to fight to the end, was sidelined by absolute terror and a broken shoulder.
Her superior, one Gilbert Brown, paced nervously infront of her. She wasn't sure they were going to win this fight. Voldemort was, from what she kept hearing, too powerful. Twice as powerful as he was before and his Death Eaters were twice as evil and insane.
The woman ran her fingers through her black hair, wincing as fingertips brushed against gashes, bumps and other sore spots on her scalp. A terrified scream from outside the office made her jump up and stick her head out the door.
A woman from the Control and Regulation of Magical Creatures department ran by, her neck bleeding violently. In her hand, one of the interoffice airplanes was held tightly in a fist that was getting paler and paler by the second.
The blood loss proving too much for the woman, she stumbled, falling to the ground in a weak slump. The paper fell and Cecily carefully picked it up. "Ye'll be fine, lass." She said, her voice shaking. "Dun you worry, yeah?" Cecily looked at the woman and knew, just from her eyes, that the woman was finally okay in some form. She had died and, as Cecily closed the womans pale grey eyes one final time, she read the note and cried out in fear.
"Voldemort has killed Harry Potter. Run for your life.
Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour."
As Cecily stood to run, a group of people came running down the hall towards the ministry exits, all screaming horribly. One word caught her ear.
Vampires.
Confused at this since it was the middle of the day, Cecily grabbed the first person she could. It was a man, terror had made his face pale. He struggled to be let go but Cecily pinned him to a wall.
"What d'ye mean, vampires are in the ministry?" She demanded, a scowl on her face. The mans eyes widened in fear and pointed out the window. Cecily turned to look outside, gasping slightly. A large black cloud was quickly forming, green lightning flashing through it. She knew by the looks that it was magic and, from the patterns of skulls and snakes the lightning made, knew exactly who did it.
THe man lunged forward and, until the pain hit her neck, Cecily thought he was trying to run away so she let him go. Then, she knew. He was a vampire and, from how rapidly she weakened, she was dying. Before she died, however, the man said in a shaky voice "I'm sorry. He told me to." (This can be anyone. Hell, I'd prefer Deacon. That'd be interesting. But only if Deacon wants to.)
three months later
The Abandoned Military base wasn't exactly swarming with people but, for Cecily, that was perfectly alright. She hated large crowds and prefered to be alone as she worked. The stove before her raging with a fire that would easily kill her if she touched it, Cecily set about making part of a breakfast for the forty seven muggles and magical people living inside the compound.
Four others worked with her. One chopped onions and saute'd seasoned potato's. Another stirred several different pots of hot cereal, using a little magic to help. Two others, muggles, washed dishes, completely used to the idea of magic.
Her eggs done, Cecily carried the overly large pot to the serving station and, with a wave of her wand, the water in the heating containers started to boil. PRessing a button on the site of the door and sticking her face near an intercom, Cecily's irish-accented voice filled the compound.
"Breakfast, everyone. We've a large day o'chores and other such tedium to attend to so lets go!"
Time to start a new day.

((ooc- Hey I'm gonna put up my characters version of what had happed before him. If you want me to remove it just tell me kay.... thanks.))
Deacon saw the cloud forming in the sky as the world turned to darkness. He reached his hand out of the window and found that there was no more light to burn his flesh. He looked to the sky and saw the serpent mark. He ran towards the signal to thank the person it came from only to see hundreds of death eaters gathered there and the dark lord himself. There were may vampires like himself and other creatures of the night.
He watched on as he told them to find the wizards and other humans. He was about to run when a death eater caught him trying to escape. "Here my lord... a renegade." He said with a hiss as voldemort approced them. "And who is this, eh? A vampire.... why are you not in my ranks? Why do you not bare my mark?" He said with a serpents lashing tongue.
"I-I do not know? I was hiding from the light and then the darkness gathered. I'm sorry." He pleaded trying to think of a way to escape his fate. Then the dark lord spoke again. "Then I guess I shall mark you." He hissed as he grabbed Deacon's forearm and burned the dark mark into his flesh. Deacon screamed in pain as the mark started to move on his skin.
A month later....
I heard of another camp of the wizards but what shall I do? I'm gonna try to help them but not like I did the others.... The others I couldn't save he thought as he remembered what had happened before........... He marched his way into a camp of muggles and wizards as a death eater but he warned them to get out.... the only cast horrible spells at him. He had no idea a hundred death eater was behind him marching there. All of a sudden a green flash came from nowhere as they started using the killing curse on everyone execution style.......
He had remembered that event as he carved the dark mark off of his skin. He bled as he ran towards a larger group of them making sure nobody was following him. The only reason they let him in their camp was because he was bleeding. Voldemort was usefull for one thing... he thought as he was patched up.
He spent the night there and he saw the defence they had against the death eaters. As a former death eater he would know how to stop them he wanted to join. He joined the defence and trained and fought the ones he used to fight along side mere weeks ago. He was finally able to forgive himself for the other incedent. He quit the defence only to protect the camp with his own methods... the methods of a death eater. He was a vigilante and was proud of it.

((AH sorry i didn't mean to edit yours Cicily... I pressed edit thinking it was POST REPLY... but no worries, i didn't change anything.Just goofed for a second there.))
It had been a beautiful sunny day, but something didn't feel right in the air. "...and then he said,'No you git, thats exactly what she wanted.." Alanna's sister, Ana said brightly. Alanna was talking with her sister when they were walking to her apartment. She looked up puzzledly when large dark clouds rolled in all of a sudden, casting darkness on everything. However, terror fillled them when they realized that large, green Dark Marks were visible everywhere you looked in the skies and clouds. They ran as fast as they could until they saw someone doing the same as they were: running for their lives. "What exactly is going on?" Alanna yelled at him. "The boy who lived is no more. You-Know-Who has won." the man yelled back.
Shock ran through every inch of her body. She almost stopped moving. Harry Potter is dead? How can that be? Oh no. HELL no. she thought, panic strikken. Alanna lead her sister to her house, where her puppy was barking like mad, and yelled out an old war-time enchantment that her mother had taught her, should anything arise:"CELOSUBTERRANEUS!" she yelled and thought hard about her and Ana's houses. Alanna and her sister flew across the room as the floor sounded as though it had split in half. She lunged at the window sill and looked out the window, and saw her house burrow underneath the ground and fall into a large underground cave. The ground resealed above them, and they landed with a deafening crash. Alanna shakenly walked out the front door, not sure what she'd find outside. Her puppy was now quiet and following her intently. Alanna peered outside and saw a row of houses, including Ana's, in this tavern. It had to be several miles long; and wide, for that matter. She walked back inside, and collapsed on the sofa with defeat. What would become of the world now? All Alanna knew was that she'd somehow make a difference. She WOULD. She had to. She needed to find out what to do.. she was an Auror in training..... but that would be out the door. Alanna needed to fight.

It was happening.
Finally the day in which he and so many others had been waiting for. The day that would make it so much more different then all the ones before now. This day would go down in history for one reason alone. It was going to be the day were Voldemort, his lord finally killed off the hero Harry Potter. As David sat before the rest of his death eaters he looked around. He saw the greed on there faces the pure twisted pleasure of knowing that this was the day that they all had been waiting for. Some for weeks, others for months and others for many years.
"Now all of you kill anything and anybody. Fight to the death if you have too. Becuase today we will come out victorious. We will kill and become powerful."
A Death Eater scremaed and then they call took off. Some running to Hogsmeade others running to the castle. And some running with the dark to go kill of Potter and his friends. David on the other hand was going to the ministry. To take out as many aurors as he could. Because this was his life. This was now his job. The battle was almost heartless. As him and his fellow death eater came aorund it was laomost as though they had expected it.
People were waiting for them and thats when it all started. Curses flying left and right. Red, green all differnt colored spells flying hitting and killing people. The war was confusing and hard to understand. So many people falling and so many people still battleing. David soon found himself in combat with a witch. He blocked most of her spells sending a few goods ones at her while he was at the attempt to kill her. Soon though he was growing bored. Then in a flash he scremaed the two words that he believed she most likely feared the most. Just like that the womans life ended. Now all she was was just a memory.
Moving away he ran off and began to come in combat with another few wizards but soon something happened that made his heart leap. After he had stunned a wizard he turned to the screaming voice that was coming from behind him. His leg numb his face dirty with sweat and blood and his lip bleeding he slowly made his way over to where the screaming was coming from. And thats when he heard the words that made the death eaters jump for joy and all the others the ones that still had some hope that some how the mad man was finally dead.
No such luck of course.
"IT'S THREW! HE'S DONE IT!! HE HAS KILLED THE POTTER BOY."
An earth shattering screamed came from one of the aurors others ran back to there depatrments trying to now stary safe. And some David couldonly guess apperated home to there familys to see them and for them to run to safe keeping if there was even now such a place. David turned to look at the death eater nearest to him. Looking he saw that his eyes were closd and he was breathing heavily. "It's done...we've won." He whispered quitely. David nodded his head and then the two men apperated off to the hide out again. Where the death eaters that had returned from there won fight were celbrateing. Like the time those seventeen years ago when people believed that Harry Potter had defeated that dark lord.
But this time the other side had won.

Cat was a child she knew not much of what was happening around her. There was mass confusion, she was with her other brother. She looked around for him, she didn't see him. Cat screamed out "Mike where are you" she got no reply from him. She was in the park, when it turned to a dark and gray morning. She was lost with out her older brother.
She walked over to a bench and sat down, hwen she heard a word from the screaming confused people around her was vampires. Ofcourse she was only like 8 years old and had no clue what to do.
A few moths Later:
Cat finally got word that her brother was ok and he was serving the the army thing. She was happy he was the only family she had after that day where she thought she lost her brother. Cat looked around to see every thingwas different than before.
Cat was sad because she had been living and fending for herself for a period of time. Cat was alone, and only had her brother and he was in the army, so she really hand no one else to look after her.
Cat wandered the streets alot, because her home was over run be Vampires, or the millitary. She sleep when she could and ate when she could too. It was a hard life for her to live. Even thought she stays at the millitary base she doesn't like to be there because she has to work and eran her food some times.

((OOC: Cat, I think Danäe should find you wandering around and not knowing you are a wizard take you in and raise you. What do you think? If you have another plot then nevermind))
What time was it? Danae didn't know, the woman had just woken and she was groggy. Her dark eyes adjusted slowly to the darkness around her and she groaned, still stuffed up from a cold she had developed. Danae hardly got sick, she was a fairly healthy woman, but that week she had been stressed out and worried and finally her immune system failed.
What did she have to worry about? Her life was well in balance, finances were not a problem her parents being rich and all. Sure, she did still live with them at almost 30 years old. She didn't even have to have a job (if only just to keep her busy). It was men that bothered her, dating more like. Though, she didn't have that problem either. Axel her now nearly 10 year boyfriend was with her even after all the time. But after he had proposed Danae wasn't sure what to do.
How stupid could she be? She wasn't afraid of commitment, especially being with Axel since college and though they didn't live together she saw him twice a day. Marriage would have been fine, nothing different. Though it would mean moving away from home and the money that came with it and then depending on a less than wealthy man for the rest of her life. Perhaps that was it, the fear of leaving the dependence of her parents?
No. Even after all the questions going through the sick woman's mind, she still found her answer. She wasn't there because of fear of the real world or being poor again. She had managed by herself for a whole year (with more money than her parents at the time) and if she had to, she could do it again. In fact, the reason for living with her parents there at Nyung Manor was because they paid her to. They were the ones dependent on their daughter, perhaps for love and acceptance or fear for her life.
Whichever the reason, Danae knew that they would never let her leave even if it meant not letting her marry. Danae loved her parents though and if having to stay with them for the rest of their lives was the price to pay to keep them safe and happy she was willing. They were all mentally messed the lot of them.
Danae turned to the clock, still wondering what hour it could be. 10:00. Danae groaned, realizing it was still night. Before lying back down, though, she glanced at the clock again, a glowing green dot showed that it was AM and not PM. Confused, Danae got up quickly and moved over to the window. It wasn't storming so how could it be that it was dark out? Upon view, Danae could see that a strange black cloud was in the sky blocking the sun.
She let out a gasp and rushed out of her room. She had to find Father and Mother, something bad was indeed happening. Some sort of natural disaster, alien invasion, nuclear war was happening and she felt she was in total danger. Making her way down the hall to the master bedroom there she was stopped by a loud boom.
Whether it was the force of the sound or Danae's surprise from it that caused her to fall to the ground was unknown but she had hit the wooden floor hard and her body was very sore. She tried and failed to get up, her sick body just not recovering quick enough. There was a other boom and this time followed by screams and hollars, most likely from servants in the mansion. Someone or something had entered the house and was attacking. Scared for her life, Danae crawled over to the stairs for a closer look.
A few hooded figures in strange cloaks were rushing around downstairs. There were some servants appearing, probably distrubed from their sleep from the sound of the strangers' entry, and the hooded people attacked quickly with what seemed like sticks. It was a taser as Danae could identify, the electric beams were green and red and could be used from many feet away. There was an audible voice of one intruder that sounded much like "crucio" and then a scream that sounded like the cook.
Danae sat frozen, no training from the army could help her in this situation, the intruders' technology was far advanced to anything she had seen. The only weaponry Danae had on her anyway was a handgun, a rifle, and only a couple boxes of ammo. She managed to get up and stay hidden before heading back to her room quickly, she didn't have time to waste.
It was then that a hooded figure approached, coming up from the stairs. Danae muffled a gasp realizing that they couldn't see her since a large plant was right next to the entrance of her room. She, though, could see him clearly and watched him as he entered her parents room. Not even thinking of going to get her guns, Danae moved to the master bedroom following in behind the hooded man so that he couldn't see her.
She had got a good look at his outfit, he was wearing a mask and it was shaped like something of a skull. She thought this strange, perhaps he was part of some satanist group or something and wondered how they could ever get weapons as the ones they had. He approached the bed, her parents sleeping soundly snoring slightly, and pulled out the stick. Whispered something and a green light shot out. Danae was about to jump the man but he then did it again to another lump in the bed.
Suddenly, there was a pop and the man was gone, snap like that, without a trace. But...how?
Danae switched on the light, checking what he had done to her parents. Checking the pulses, they were both dead. The shock was horrible, her stomach grew pains. She bent over, her mouth releasing warm vomit onto the carpet.
"Oh God..." she whispered, not sure what to do next.
((OOC: To be continued later! The next one shouldn't be as long but it probably will be.))

Post by George Adam Sparewell on Aug 10, 2006 1:45:00 GMT -5
( Hey, guess whose here! ) "The Dark Lord has won every battle, the Order is failing, Harry has been losing his touch, half of London's landmarks have fallen. Even the Muggle queen has been killed, and you dare bring me a meager story of a wizard breaking the Decree of International Secrecy? Hello! Muggles are aware by now! We are losing our country, I need USEFUL information." said Minister Scrimgeour, chasing the wizard out with a few curses. George Adam Sparewell, Assistant Minister, just sat there, nearly dumbfounded. He himself was more depressed than exhausted as the Minister was, being that his own vendetta with the dark lord wa shot down by him, and the Order. In his early youth, during Voldemort's first rise to power, George's parents had kept a strict neutrality, though choosing to side with the Minsitry. But it wasn't until this war, that George discovered what loss felt like, as his brother Roger had decided that perhaps the Dark Lord was what was coming, and joined him, only to overhear something and get killed for it. And then his parents and his house were destroyed in an effort to get to him, and the Minister, since his becoming of Assistant Minsiter. Now he was basically held up in a secret room above ground in the Minstry, the Minsiter's "war room", though in reality it was just a secure office. The big room was next to it, but was hardly visited. "George." said the Minsiter, snapping the young man's attention away. "George, you realize the position you hold makes you second in command, and next in line should something happen to me. I just though you should know that, and realize that this is why I ordered you to remain here. I can't afford to lose you, since the two of us in on the Dark Lord's hit list." George nodded as another wizard bursted into the room, bearing a reddish parchment... it was way urgent news. "Minister! The Burrow! Its gone! Dark mark above it! We've lost the Weasley's!." he yelled, throwing the sheet down. The Minsiter looked in shock. George looked down, as it sank in. He was best friends with Fred and George, and the family was a second one to him. Now they were gone...and with that, everyone that George held dear. He looked up at the guy, who continued. "And harry Potter has tracked down Voldemort, between here and the burrow. We are watchign the battle closely, and Fawkes will alert us when..." he said, when a flash from a window took the three of their attention. George was closest, and tore apart the drapes. From what looked like a central green tornado, a dark cloud began to grow, and block out the sun, till the skyies turned dark, not dark enough to not see, but dark enough to cause lights to go on. Then a flames erupted in the air above the desk, and a lone phoenix feather flew down, before curling and erupting into flame. The wizard stood there, until the words "Dear Merlin" escaped his lips, and then George knew what it meant. Harry Potter failed. The Boy Who Lived, was no more. "That's it, its over. We have no chance. There is nothing more to stop him from sweeping through the Ministry. With Potter gone, the Order is no match. We have to evacuate the Ministry. Get everyone out of here. George, you should probably help get people out, and defend this place. No sense in giving Voldemort the chance to catch us together. Go." said the Minister as he pulled his To-All-Places Parchcent to send a full scale message. George made it down to the lobby before meeting up with any Death Eaters, andalmost immediatly was sighted and thrown into battle. George and some of the Aurorsthrew a desperate fight to the last man, when it ended up being George against three other Death Eaters. Just as George incapascitated one, another Deather Eater turned up behind him, and George realized he was bound tightly hovering nearthe top of the Fountain of Magical Bretheren. As the Death Eater started talking about his wand, George eyes the top of the statue, of the wizard holding his wand up, and came up with a last desperate spel to switch the wand there with his own. George once again found himself in te war room, only this time Lord V was there, and pointing his wand at a tired Minister of Magic. "Ah, yes, here we go. Now we can give you one more chance, Rufus. Surrender the Ministry to me. Now that the Assistant Minister has arrived, your life value has dropped." Rufus sat there, and then looked up slowly, his eyes locking with George. He took a big breath, and then spoke. "No." Before George could stop it, Lord Voldemort screamed the killing curse, and the Minsiter was dead. He then turned on him. "You must be that very evasive Assistant Minister, George Sparewell. I must admit, I expected someone a bit older, but your loyalty and nobility has impressed me. I just hope you dont end up dissapointing me. Now, I have here a Decree of Surrender for the Minister of Magic to sign, to surrender all of Britain, and by doing so, the world. Since Scrimegeour is no more, that would make you the new Minsiter, and validate your quill. So, surrender, or you will meet the same fate as Rufus here." George looked with an evil hatred. Surrendering would be the last thing on his mind. "You killed my family, my firiends, my dreams, and you expect me to play nice with you? You'll have to kill me, because if you don't, I will kill you in my stead." Voldemort shook his head, and pointed the wand at George. "I rather it not come to this. See here, look at the oppertunity it presents. I know you have always wanted to become the Minister of Magic. I could make it happen. Just sign." "You and I both know that you have no need for a Ministry. And after a few deadly event, you have no need to keep up the muggle world either." George said, refusing once again. "Ah yes, those major American cities and their dragon attacks were unfortunatle, but necessary. Since the American and your goverment refused my wishes. But don't worry, my close and recently promoted assosiate, Lord Skull, has forced the Americans to surrender as well. Now, I think you need a little help to see things the right way. First I will toture you, and then I was control you. I assure you, Brittain is mine. Crucio!"
George sat near the wreckage of the Big Ben Clock Tower, clad in old ragged clothes, holding the last edition of the Daily Prophet. The Headline did nothing but depress him. With Potter Dead, Voldemort Wins! New Minister of Magic George Sparewell's first act is to turn over Brittain to the Dark Lord George spent the last months wadering around, looking for a place, and finding ruins, or Death Eaters. Having been able to survive by taking the antics of some old Muggle Godfather movies, George lived a life of struggle, and a personal vendetta with Death Eaters. But he need some sort of organization. Some revolutionary group. For months people had been asking the same question. Where was former Minister Sparewell? Many wanted him to answer for signing the nation over... but other were looking for a hero to lead or at least to stand by. But no one had found him, and George continued wandering aimlessly... not a shilling to his name. At least not to anyone who didn't know him...

((OOC: This post is more of an explanantion than RP of what happens to Danae and how the SWE is formed. I got permission from Axel to use his character in this.))
It had been five months since her parents' death, and though Danae was a muggle, she and all muggles in Britain knew of the existance of the wizard kind. Danae had believed almost immediately, the things she had witnessed the night of the murders could only be explained by magic as Danae thought. Though she knew of them and their ways, she couldn't find the heart to trust them. It they were capable of just killing people and destroying things as they did, then weren't they all that way? Danae was hurt and heartbroken by the loss of her family and though she knew that even "normal people" could be criminals and murderers, she had a real hatred and fear of wizards, perhaps it were that they had one thing she couldn't control and protect herself against. Magic.
Danae had escaped, living at a military base with many of muggles and even some wizards. Her home was destroyed, the manor standing in ruins and only half of the second was stable enough to walk around in. Though the people there with her were protective and could call it a safe place, Danae could feel nothing but fear knowing that anyone of those monsters could be the ones who attacked her. Many spoke of "Voldemort" and "Death Eaters" leaving Danae in shivers everytime. The Voldemort man was some sort of lord as Danae collected and a murderer, probably the freaks' leader, and death eaters just had a scary tone to it.
It wasn't until after a few weeks that Axel showed up. Their renuion was a tearful one, Danae actually found a reason to be happy after so long. She had prayed day and night that her love was safe and would find a way to her. Axel himself had heard of the attacks and deaths at Nyung Manor and expected the worst of Danae. Only after a day, the two married.
Danae and Axel agreed of their thoughts of wizards and soon met other muggles who thought the same also. The two made friends quickly and easily. Danae usually went out through the destroyed London, mostly for rations and weaponry, and one day passed by her old home. Upon expection she found it still liveable. The woman cleaned it out making room for people and ammo. Inviting others to join her, it became their own secret base for witch hunting what they called, "The Society for Wizard Extermination."

Like most muggles, Andrew had been fairly unaware of the wizarding world until that fateful day. There had been a lot of unusual occurances, but most of it had been covered up by the ministry. His house in the country was well out of the way, so he and his family had been left alone during Voldemort's rise. The first he heard about the war, was when important political figures were disapearing, or being assassinated. The day Harry Potter died, it's significance was lost to the small muggle community. Why should one boy have made so much of a difference, when world leaders were being killed.
That night, however, was a night he would never forget. With the wizarding world in panic, the vampires decided that they would have a decent feast. The village was attacked, shortly before midnight, and Andrew lay awake in bed, listening to his mothers screams as both of his parents were bled dry. His memories of that night are confusing, for he only felt fear, and he doesn't know how, or why, he survived. All he knows, is that he is now one of them, a vampire, yet he is nothing like them at all.
Andrew looked up at the village he was aproaching, this was his life now, ever since that attack, roaming from village to village, helping where he can. He never stayed anywhere long, people soon found out what he was, and they hated him for it. His new found powers helped him to survive, sometimes even if the rest of the village was destroyed, and he fought anything that attacked, vampires and death eaters alike. All the muggles knew of the wizards now, and they all lived in fear of the vampires. He wondered how long he would be allowed to stay in this settlement, and how long it would be before it was attacked, sometimes he felt as though he was leading the attackers to their targets, but he heard stories that everywhere was being attacked. If people lived their and were against voldemort, then it was just a matter of time.

Post by Ayli Murdock on Aug 23, 2006 14:13:44 GMT -5
"Just a few more weeks, Xavier! Can you believe it?" Ayli's voice was full of a mix between apprehension and unrestrained excitement. She of course meant the end of school. Xavier cracked a smile at her and held a finger to his lips to symbolize she should be quieter. They were in the middle of Herbology class and Mrs. Sprout didn't take kindly to people not paying full attention to her plants that they were tending to. She smiled sheepishly and turned back to her work. The sun was shining brightly and the work was tedious. All week, all month, she had been so busy with classes that Ayli had nearly forgotten the problems going on outside of Hogwarts.
Everyone was so preoccupied - most likely for just that reason - that they all fell into their normal content passing. They should be worried about what was happening beyond the walls, but it was decidedly for the best that they not be. Or so Ayli had told herself when she was first adjusting to the idea of Harry Potter fighting the Dark Lord. The students would only worry and not do work. They would scuttle about in fear and life would be useless in the school. She was confident that Harry Potter would win. Too confident.
As she was plucking a few leafs off of her plant for the brewing of a calming potion - one she could probably soon use in excess - the sky began to darken above her. She looked up and then to Xavier before her eyes slowly dragged themselves back to the sky. A sinking feeling enveloped her stomach and heart as they blacked out the sun and Xavier suddenly took hold of her hand. She turned to him, having difficulty in looking away. Before she knew what was happening though lightening flashed from the sky. She could see the reflection in the glass walls of the greenhouse. The Dark Mark. Ayli's blood ran cold. It couldn't be. Harry couldn't have failed... everyone was counting on him. He couldn't have failed!
As she stood there watching the glass she saw them. Clearly though they were hundreds of yards away, creatures rushed from the Forbidden Forest. Vampires. Demons. She was horror stricken and her grip on Xavier's hand tightened. He turned to look as they approached the glass with malicious grins plastered to their faces. They had appeared too quickly. Damn their superhuman speed. Xavier grabbed Ayli and pulled her towards the door as other students stood too fearful of the creatures to leave. The glass broke on the other end of the room with a deafening crash and Xavier ran, bursting through the door, with Ayli in tow. A few other students had found their legs and pushed past them as they all sprinted towards the castle.
Creatures pounced, fangs sinking in to delicate flesh, before Ayli's eyes on her friends, her classmates. She wanted to look away, but everywhere she turned she saw it again. Besides, she was oddly drawn - captivated, by the screams and fearful looks on her peers' faces. It tied her stomach in knots to see it all, but Xavier kept her running. She tried to stop and her yanked her forward, screaming at her to keep running. The doors were in sight, he said. They were nearly safe, he said. Ayli knew beter. Looking at what she was... she knew that there would no longer be anywhere 'safe'. Voldemort had won. People would follow him in fear or die. That was just how it would be from now on.
The doors banged shut behind Ayli and a large lock appeared. When had they even gotten inside? Ayli turned towards Xavier, her breath ragged and his as well. "What do we do?" She asked him quietly as a few pounds sounded at the door. It was accompanied by horrible laughter though so it wasn't opened. "We run." That was the only reply she got from him as he started pulling her again. They headed for the dungeons. There was no where else to go but down as the building began shaking anyway. Large stone began to fall. All Ayli could think of was how creatures must have gotten in before the doors were locked because the teachers... the teachers wouldn't let the spells on the school go so quickly.
They had to be dead. Dead. The word rang in Ayli's head. The teachers, her friends, Harry Potter. All dead. The stairs shook as Ayli took them with Xavier two or three at a time. She was afriad they'd be crushed to death as the cieling gave out, but they held strong at least. For the time being. Then it happened. The cieling behind them caved in and they were trapped with no way back to the surface. Ayli stopped and finally Xavier allowed it. She shook and stared in horror, in disbelief. Xavier pulled her to him and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, expecting her to cry. No tears would come though. She was in too much shock to find them. "They're dead. Everyone is dead." She said, her voice flat and quiet.
Xavier nodded, pulling her closer. "We're not. That's what matters though, right?" Ayli turned to him. "Not yet." Was all she said in reply before she heard the stone behind them beginning to shift. Xavier shoved her down the hall and began running with her again, but there were only dead end tunnels left now. Beside her Xavier turned a corner and spotted their way out... Ayli's way out. Ayli saw it too and pulled him over. She didn't know the password. She wished so badly that she did. Xavier knew it though. He had used it just once before, but this password didn't change. "Dissendium." Ayli made a mental note of that password as Xavier whispered it and the One Eyed Witch statue moved aside.
The sound of people coming closer though startled Xavier and he pushed Ayli inside. She reached for him but he moved away. She started after him, but he pushed her back. "I'm going to lead them away so the witch closes up. I don't want them knowing there's a way to get in. Go. I'll be right back." Ayli now felt tears welling up. "No! Xavier don't go! You won't come back!" Xavier smiled weakly at her as the witch started to seal up. "If you promise not to follow me, I promise I'll come back." His voice was soft and quiet. The people were getting closer though and Ayli could tell he was hiding impatience and risking his life. She nodded silently. "I promise." He winked at her. "I promise too." Then he was gone and the statue had sealed the passage again. Ayli moved down the passageway in the dark. She couldn't see anything, but she didn't dare use her wand to light the way. She heard footsteps echo through the closed entrance as 'things' ran by it and she stopped moving, stopped breathing... until they were gone. Then she picked up her pace.
Her hand trailed along the wall and one moved in front of her to keep from slamming into anything. She found numerous turn offs and was unsure where to go. She trusted her instincts though and just kept going straight. Eventually she found her way to the end, but didn't dare exit the tunnels yet. It was cold and damp below ground, but above ground it was worse. She knew it was. Death, destruction. Xavier promised he'd come back. She couldn't leave until he came back or too much time had passed that she knew he was dead. The thought chilled her to the bone, to the marrow in her bone. She shivered and curled up below the exit to wait. All she could hear was her own breathing and the muffled cries of dying above her as she sat alone in the dark.
----
Months Later
----
Ayli couldn't place how long she had waited for Xavier that day. Too long. She knew he was dead just hours after he had left her in the tunnel, but still she waited. Then she had risen from her seat and climbed as silently as she could out the trap door that lead to store room of Honeydukes. Carefully, quietly, she made her way to the store front. Only to find it missing. It was destroyed. Candy lay strewn about on the empty streets. Smoke drifted in black clouds along the cobblestones. Everything was silent. So silent that the beating of her own heart sounded like one hundred drums pounding at once to her. She was careful to keep her eyes alert as she made her way through the ghost town to the Three Broomsticks. The door hung off it'd hinges at an angle as she passed inside the establishment.
Bodies lay everywhere and left a stench she knew she'd never forget, nor have the chance to with all the killing going on now that Voldemort ruled. She found a dark green cloak that had no owner nearby and she wrapped it around herself as if she could shut out the aethereal cold that surrounded her. She stayed in Hogsmeade for a few days, afraid to leave. Afraid to found while she traveled. Eventually though she had to go. So she made her way to London and after at least a week walking and hiding she found herself in the midst of a very different place. It was not the London she knew that she found, but one in complete disorder, destruction, and despair. Nothing could have shattered her remaining hope better.
Ayli decided to head back the way she came. There was nothing left there for her to bother with. It hurt her physically to leave, but she knew before she even arrived at her home that there was no one there. Dead, missing, or whatever else. Currently she has decided to live within the Forbidden Forest. What better place to hide than where no one would dare go? What human in their right mind would live in the forest where the creatures who were abroad killing resided? Well, Ayli wasn't exactly in her 'right mind' and seeing as most were abroad or didn't much care either way... So Ayli took upresidence in a good sized burrow under a huge elm tree. She occasionally heads for Hogsmeade in search of food, but otherwise never leaves the forest.

It was supposed to be her best year; her last year at Hogwarts. Susan thought as she walked on the darkened streets of London. She remembered that day like it was only moments earlier; so much though had changed from them…
It was early that morning when she heard news that Harry left to hunt the-one-who-should-not-be-named. It frightened her; and she was worried for her friend. They may not have been close but she hoped that it would turn out all right. However things had not. She finished her charms lesson and headed down to the Hufflepuff common room. She sat in one of the large chairs and curled up with her book and begin to read. She had not gotten too far when the room got very dark; the windows may have been small but they gave a good amount of light. She placed her book on the chair and went to the window to come face to face with a werewolf. She screamed and fell back before it could swipe her; falling was the best thing for her as the window was far to small for it to get threw. It moved from that spot; but she was scared out of her mind. A werewolf in the middle of the day?
It was then that she noticed the swirl of blackened clouds and green lightning coming from the sky. ‘oh no.” she whispered as she heard the doors to the castle slam open. The attack on the school had begun. She panicked her heart leapt faster and faster; she knew that she had to get out of there and as fast as she could.
Another girl her age came up to her; “What is going on?” She asked Susan in a rush. Susan looked with fear as she saw hundreds of feet storming the castle.
“Get all the students the dorm. The Castle is under attack, we must get out of here!” Susan said as she ran in the opposite direction to the boys dorm; screaming; “Everyone get to the common Room now!” She needed to get everyone together numbers would be stronger. Once they had the few students in the dorm at that time of the day their was a laud burst from the entrance. “Their going to be in soon; everyone raise your wand! We must fight! Trust yourself” she said before the door burst open and death eaters Vampires and other creatures came running in; immediately spells flew from them; “Now!” She yelled at her fellow Huffelpuffs. The sweet girl who never rose her voice was now in a battle for her life; and she knew it; this was no normal day.
“Confundus! Diffindo! Expelliarmus!” she called out aiming at different Death eaters. They hit but what little damage that would do; only get them angrier; “Finite Incantatem!” She called at the right moment for she looked to be leading this little army of students someone send a killing curse at her; that charm saved her life. She only learned it twenty minutes earlier in charms class. She however knew this was kill or be killed; ” Flagrate” she called out and flames cane from her wand as she made her way to the front of the students she pushed her wand in one death eater; must have been the one she hit with the confudus charm. He went down, it was the first dead body she had seen and by her own hand; she however could not think any of it at the moment because she was grasped a dirty hand on her throat.
“Bad, bad girl.” The grotesk man said as he pushed her against the wall. Susan spat on his face, her wand lost somewhere on the floor, how pitiful she was. Susan thought that this would be the face of death; she was wrong.
“Furnunculus!” someone shouted and the man holding her fell screaming as painful boils started to form; “Susan!” the same voice called out. It was the second year she had been tutoring he had her wand in his hand as he threw it to her he was hit with the killing curse.
“NO!” Tears formed but that would not fix a thing. She turned with rage “Impedimenta!” the whole room seemed to slow down only for a few seconds as she pushed her way threw to the door. But Susan could never leave the rest of the students; her friends, her family. “PUFFS DOWN!” she called out to the few still fighting. “Incendio!” she then called out only seconds later; pointing high flames flew from her wand. She moved her wand back and forth; then once the fire stopped from her wand; deadly screams came from those hit by the fire, She dropped to the ground and found herself crawling into the group and gathering the few students alive.
That was the last time she saw them; any of them. No friends no family Susan ran from the school but what little would that do. Once she found herself past the school what else was there? It was then she heard voices everywhere. She however saw no one.
“Kill! Stupid Potter boy. Voldemort Lives! The Hail The Dark Lord! Blood!” The horrible thoughts of others flooded her mind; nothing she had ever experienced in her life would prepare her for it. Susan had always been one to almost know what you were thinking but she figured it was because she knew people. It was however a developing talent that decided now of all times to bombard her with the thoughts of people and creatures for miles,
She closed her eyes as the thoughts came back into her mind of the dreadful day. She however had changed from that student she was. She walked alone with a bow and arrow in her hands. Yes that was her defense now. Her wand she had still but the Death Eaters could detect it, which was not what she needed. Her arrows placed in a pouch on her back held some magic though; potions you could not detect. So positions ever a scratch could kill a mortal instantly, a death eater it could take a few hours but it would do the job. She did not care at all; death was something that surrounded her now.
She still had her family home; what the shamble it was after it was torn apart; like her parents. Limb from limb for being half bloods. She walked in the darkness, what time was it really? Was the sun hidden above the thick clouds? Was in night? No one could really know; no one was prepared for this.
A year past since the day Harry died and Voldemort took his position as world leader no one was the same. Muggles hunted wizards and Witches to try to solve the problem; however they did little to help. The only wizard to get close enough would be one trying to help. Death Eaters don’t wait. Susan did not anymore. No chances; and she would know. Still trying to control the noise in her mind Susan can know if your lying; most Death Eaters have the same thought pattern; death Power, things like that. Trust was never given lightly.
She found her destination an abandoned little shack; she heard rumors of the Knight Mages as she bent down in hopes of finding a clue. That was her goal now. Join the fight; take no prisoners. However locating a group meant to stay hidden was not easy.

Hermione pointed her wand and shouted. "Expeliarmus!" at the man coming to wards her. She watched the man fly back and smirked with satisfaction, this would be short lived as she heard someone shout out the words that would haunt her forever.
"HARRY POTTER IS DEAD! VOLDEMORT IS VICTORIOUS!"
"No." Hermione breathed as she looked up at the sky and watched in horror as a dark cloud seemed to be inching it's way across the sky, blocking out the sun. Tears began to silently streak their way down her cheeks as she looked about her for Ron. Some how during the battle she had gotten separated from him though she was not sure how. She ran down the street and saw his red hair gleaming ahead.
"RON!" Hermione waived frantically to get his attention. "Ron! Harry, did you hear what they said about Harry?" She called out but was knocked to the ground before she could reach him. Hermione looked up and saw the one thing she had never expected to see in the daylight. A man stood over her, his vampire teeth gleaming as he stared at her maliciously. She still had her wand in her hand and she was not about to give up and be taken down this easy. She pointed her wand at the beast and shouted. "Lumos!" Enough to just blind him.
Hermione got to her feet quickly and ran to Ron, Grabbing his arm. "Ron we have to go now! There are Vampires out and we need to get out of here!" She tugged on his arm as she started to run. She was not sure where they would go but the had to get out before they were killed. Hermione ran as fast as she could, some how losing Ron in the hasty escape. It would be two days of hiding and running before She would reach the safety of a Safe-house that she had heard of, only then did they allow herself a breather.

George stood in the center of the circle, his eyes glinting dangerously as he pointed his wand at them. He shot out spells one after the other and did all he could to fight them off as he knew his brother was on the other side of them and he had to get to him. He blasted his way through the ranks but it seemed as if they kept popping up as he got one down.
With a growl of frustration he charged them and broke through just in time to watch his twin be over run with Death Eaters. He heard one of them cast the killing curse and time seemed to stop as he watched his twin fall. As he felt the connection he once shared snap so did his sanity. George collapsed to the ground and began to mutter, rocking back and forth. The Death Eaters figured he was no longer a threat to them so they left him there as the call went out that Voldemort had been victorious.
*Five Months Later*
George blinked as he stepped out of the hospital he had been in, it looked to be a Muggle facility for insane people but how he had gotten here he could not be sure. He looked about and wondered where everyone was and why there was what seemed to be a permanent covering over the sky. As he walked he wondered where everyone was and why he had not heard from his family. He made his way to Diagon Alley and was downhearted that he found it in Ruins. He walked through the streets and stopped in front of his old shop, now a wreck and looked down at his feet spotting an old copy of the Daily Prophet. He picked up the paper and read the headlines:
Voldemort takes control of the world: Harry Potter Dead
"No!" George cried as his memories of losing his brother flashed before his eyes. George clutched the paper and began to realize he was not safe where he was. He quickly aparated to the last known hiding place of the Order of the Phoenix, hoping he would find someone who could lead him to what he wanted most, REVENGE!

Post by Ginny Weasley on Sept 22, 2006 8:00:26 GMT -5
Ginny watched another Death Eater fall her face twisted in self disgust. She hated killing but it tended to fill her days now, still she wouldn't be anywhere else. Harry wouldn't even look at her but it didn't matter she was close to him and could assure herself that he was alright, well sort of. Ginny could see the strain on him lately; he was quiet and more intense then usual. Hopefully it would all be over soon. she thought, unaware of how prophetic her thoughts would be.
Glancing around for Harry, she finally spotted him, just in time to see a flash of green light and Harry slump. "NO!" She cried out rushing to him unmindful of anyone around her. She got only close enough to see his eyes, those lovely green eyes that used to light whenever he saw her, despite how he tried to stop it, now blank and lifeless. Faceless arms wrapped around her waist, "He's gone, Lassie." A thick brogue whispered in her ear, "It's time to get out o here." At this he started to pull her resisting form off of the battle field.
Ginny had a bit of a collapse that day, it was months before she even took food on her own. She would simply stare out the window of the safe house with unseeing eyes. She kept seeing those eyes, Harry's eyes, his eyes laughing, his eyes serious as he spoke about defeating Voldemort, his eyes as he looked at her and couldn't quite keep his feelings out of them, then she would see his eyes as she had that last night, blank, empty, dead. It was two months before she was able to face the world again, she came back as suddenly as she had left. She merely opened her eyes one morning and smiled as she saw Hermione asleep at the end of the bed she was sleeping in.
**Three Months Later**
Ginny shoed her friend out the door with the assurance that she would be fine, turning back to the house she cursed the fact that she would be cleaning the house the muggle way. She longed to be able to use any of the army of cleaning charms her mother had drilled into her. Her hand dropped to the slight swell of her stomach as she felt her son move, he was what kept her going these days, what kept her fighting, she had to make the world better for her and Harry's son. “Our son will have a future, Harry. I promise. I won’t stop until the world is safe for him. I just pray you help me be strong enough to do it.” With a smile on her face and more at peace then she had been in months, Ginny gathered her supplies and began her day.
